Question about Matthew 23:15?

The Pharisees and scribes were the religious leaders of their day and were also total hypocrites. they were supposed to teach and record the law however, their own lifestyle was one that certainly did not portray the message of the Lord. They were without mercy, cruel, greedy, two faced religious hypocrites who when they would make a convert to Judaism, the new convert was worse for the conversion as he then became as bad as them. Jesus despised the Pharisees of His day as He knew exactly what they were like and failed to teach the Love and forgiveness of the Lord. You may also remember too that it was the Pharisees who accused the Lord of working his miracles by the power of Satan despite such positive proof to the contrary as they hated the Lord because he was a threat to their position as He was gaining in popularity as well. his teachings were somewhat more humane and accepted by the mes which only showed up the pharisees for the hypocrites that they were.
