the democratic nation would win, history has shown that people who have a reason to fight usually persevere and win the war, or at least put up one hell of a fight.. this is demonstrated in the American Revolution, and the Vietnam War. in the revolution a relatively small and ill-equipped army defeated the most powerful nation in the world. and in Vietnam the NVA put up one hell of a fight against the USA even thought the US had a huge technological advantage.
