How should I end things with my boo?

I've been hanging out with this kid for about 6 months now. We have so much fun together and vibe really well. He told me in October that he likes me. I explained to him that I'm not looking for any type of relationship at the present time...possibly in the future. So we kept hanging out like we always did, but there was definitely some tension there. We've always talked about what it would be like if we had , but until recently, we never crossed that bridge. In January, we had for the first time. I tried my hardest not to do it again, but he's awesome, so it's happened quite a few more times since. He claims to know what type of relationship we have, but I don't think he's mature enough to handle it (he's 19, I'm 23). Last month, he told me he loved me. I just said, "Aww. I love you, too, homie." Since then, we still hang out everyday, but now he's really affectionate and it's a little too much for him. I'm not sure how to tell him we have to go back to being platonic friends. Any suggestions? He's one of my best friends and the last thing I wanna do is hurt his feelings.
