Now that the Yankees are back . . .?

I feel the nerves of Boston fans forming a collective tremble, which feels like an earthquake in Beantown. OK, OK, the Yanks haven't overtaken them (yet), but you have to admit NY's back in it to win it. So who will it be besides Boston and NY in the playoffs? What scenarios do you foresee?
