Should You Retire To Asheville, NC?

You really didn't have much that you liked in Asheville, so I'm not sure why you are looking to retire there. There are many other cities in NC and TN that might suit you better. Perhaps a vacation visiting Charlotte, Raleigh, Knoxville, and Nashville would help you find what you are looking for. It sounds like you are looking for somewhere larger than Asheville. There are a number of publications and websites that give information on the best places to retire. You might do a little reading in those. I think you need to get out of the mountains, but you can be nearby.
